Here is a bit of June, before it becomes too distant of a memory...
Scott and his brothers took the kids to Carlsbad Caverns. We left San Diego after work Friday, got into Phoenix about 12:30am. The boys left on their trip at 2am. Got to the caves about lunchtime. Drove to a hotel at about 11pm. Slept and drove back to Arizona Sunday. Then we drove back to San Diego Monday. Are you confused? It was a LOT of driving in not a lot of time. Ryan's favorite part was the hotel :)
This darling face finished his first year of preschool. Too cool for school.
Dad's and doughnuts.
On a morning I was in a race, Scott took Ryan to the E.R. This boy gets really bad croup almost every year. So bad that he can't breathe and we have to take him in. So sad.
This little lady is getting so big. She doesn't like to share her drinks. (Not that you would want to, unless you are a fan of backwash.)
We have to bring all sorts of entertainment along when we go shopping to keep her from yell/cry/screaming. Luckily, JoAnns has all kinds of junk to play with while you are waiting in line. I think the JoAnns by my house has the SLOWEST cut table in the world. Plan on at least a 30 minute wait if you need something cut, even if you are the only one there.
We've been busy at the beach and pool days. Every time I sunblock Emma she reminds me of Syndrome from Incredibles.
Her hair is growing in nice and mullet-like. And she loves to pull out her bows. I didn't think I'd spank my children, but boy do I want to when she pulls out those bows.
(I haven't, yet.)
This was my attempt at some sort of learning time to give structure to our summer days. It was fun.
Both times.
Ryan is so good at making normal looking faces in pictures.
We've gone to Lake Miramar to 'walk the lake' a few times. Sometimes we make it all the way around, sometimes not. The best part is people watching there. One time we found this turtle in the middle of the path. The kids wanted to poke him with sticks. We saved him.
My favorite there is the rollerblading grandma.
Usually he makes her laugh. Usually.
I discovered Instagram, and love it. That is why I don't blog really- I feel like I am documenting our lives so much there. But just incase... here are some of my favorites.
Again with the distracting, this time at Target dollar spot.
Waiting at the zoo to meet Daddy for zoo summer nights. Emma LOVES the zoo. She is finally old enough to realize what we are doing there. She gets so excited to see the animals. She points and babbles at them until we acknowledge what she is saying.
And I feel like a grown up, I now love Thai food. I can't get enough. I owe my thanks to Holly Wallin for teaching me my way around the menu.
We also went on a cruise to Alaska in June that was so amazing... that deserves its own post. Stay tuned.
Up next... July!

Poor Ry - being sick is the worst! Good thing he has such an entertaining little sister to keep him smiling... (look back at the 4 pics that are immediately following Ry's ER pic) :)
