So I'm not posting this because I am proud of my time... I know it is slow, I am posting it because I finished. And since this is our family journal, I wanted to document it!

I ran a 5K with some girls in my ward, we only had the hats for the picture :)

My friend Holly made us these cute jingle bells for our shoes, it was the Jingle Bell Run. Mine and Holly's fell off during the race (sad!).  But she is awesome and made me a new one AND made it into an ornament so we could hang it on our tree!

I was super nervous before it started... not sure why. But once it got going, it was almost fun.
I have to say that I like people cheering for me when I run, even if they are complete strangers.

Running this race lit a fire under all of us... we are doing another one in February... want to come? February 4th, 5k or 10k in San Diego.

Races in my near future:
SLC Half Marathon
Camp Pendleton Mud Run
Have you heard of any other fun ones?

I set a New Years goal to run 500 miles in 2012. Its not that far if you break it down into weeks and days, but my problem is not sticking with things... so that is a huge part of my goal, completing it.

Anyone want to go running with me?

  2. GO MEGAN!!!! You beast, you! You came in 35th of 117 ladies your age. That ROCKS!! I am so impressed. I totally wish I could jump on the running bandwagon. Give me half a year and I'll take it up. Of course, by then you'll be running marathons and I'll be starting back at the 5k's. :D
