Emma spent the summer eating sand.
Literally.

Our good friends the Raicharts introduced us to San Elijo State Beach in Cardiff by the Sea. We love it. The shallow water goes way out, so it is super kid friendly. The water stays warmer because of the shallow water and there is a little lagoon that wraps around and under a bridge. We take turns taking the kids on paddle board rides.
These girls loved soaking up the muddy sand into their diapers.

Emma even shares the sand she eats.

The boys ran around collecting rocks, lobster shells and tangled sea weed.

Loved every second we were there.

The crazy moms who took the kids to the beach as often as possible, which still didn't seem like enough.
